Asian motifs are currently very trendy for interior design, so it’s no surprise that the editors of Elle Decor Magazine were smitten with Raynaud‘s new dinnerware, Constellation Dragon.

The dragon stands for energy and good fortune throughout Asia. It’s often shown guarding a ball of fire, which stands for wisdom, glory and the power of the emperor.

Occupying the 5th position in the Chinese Zodiac, the Dragon symbolizes success and ambition, and it is the mightiest of the twelve signs.  Next year (2012) is the year of the dragon, so this is a preview of many dragon-inspired pieces to come.
