I was sent dishes with an off white background - total opposite of this dish - with no explanation as to why!

Love Gien products; and originally purchased some in Paris, then completed my set from the States. The Tu-lipes Noires pattern is both classic and modern, and mixes well with other patterns (in particular with the green and white Vue de l'Orient pattern it was shown with at Le Bon Marche in Paris). Gien's dishware is very sturdy and dishwasher friendly, so even the fine china can be used every day.
