Behind the Scenes at The French Laundry Pop-Up at Harrods

Last week, Thomas Keller delighted diners at Harrods London with a temporary pop-up of his renowned restaurant, The French Laundry. Monday was the final day of this venture, but chef Keller left us with a tasty behind-the-scenes tour of the pop-up:

You’ve probably heard that crisp, white plates make an excellent canvas to show off the food, and the dinnerware at the French Laundry (both the temporary and permanent locations) is a great example of this principle in action.

Thomas Keller designed the Hommage and Checks dinnerware in collaboration with Raynaud, just for his French Laundry and Per Se restaurants. It’s available as open stock, so you can get the same modern look at home:

While Londoners will miss the Harrods location, visitors to Napa Valley, California can still dine at the original French Laundry. New Yorkers, of course, are familiar with Keller’s Per Se restaurant, and folks in Los Angeles and Las Vegas will want to visit the Bouchon Bistro in their home towns. We look forward to the next offering from Keller and his staff.
