The rug is wool and backed; it is a lot stiffer than I expected and not at all soft to walk on. But the colors are true to the website photo and it is a very well-made rug, so overall I am happy with the purchase.

I have been waiting to find the perfect rug for this tricky space in our house, and the waiting paid off! This rug is so beautiful. It’s like a piece of art that catches my eye every time, and I love how thick and soft it feels underfoot! Yay, I love it!

Rug looked as expected and is soft to the touch. My only disappointment was when I vacuumed it....threads seem to be pulling up and giving an unkempt appearance--I have no idea how I will vacuum it going forward to avoid this happening each time.

I like my rug, but was a bit disappointed that the gold turned out to be a green/gray - so it's not bright like I wanted it to be. The photo is MUCH brighter than the rug. The rug looks much darker on the whole. And it sheds. A LOT. At first I thought the cat was after it, but, no, it just sheds a lot when you walk on it. I really wish it had looked like the picture, I'd be happier with it.
