I was very interested to see how these looked and felt, because online "best of" lists really like them. I was not disappointed! The plastic is substantial, not cheap looking or feeling. I really like the way these knives look. In terms of sharpness, they are fine. They are not steak knives but they have a little more oomph than a butter knife
